Residential Dumbwaiters
- When purchasing a dumbwaiter for your home, Butler’s Buddy specializes in carrying a variety of options to choose from. In addition to our standard & corner dumbwaiter sizes, we can also build you a custom size dumbwaiter for your specific needs or shaft way size. All dumbwaiters come standard with over-travel and slack cable switches. We also supply UL listed fire rated doors with electro-mechanical interlocks on all our units. This prevents the door from being opened when the lift container is not present on that floor. If you choose to go with a different door option, we can supply the safeties and hardware that we mount on our doors. Our low voltage wiring connects to the appropriate switch by way of crimp connectors, labeled and color coded to avoid confusion. The minimum space required for the upper motor assembly starts at 11 inches.

Standard Dumbwaiters
For residential applications, we offer six different size standard dumbwaiters to meet most customers’ demands. They are used to transport everything from mail to groceries, heavy pet supplies, firewood and other heavy or cumbersome items. The lift containers are manufactured in heavy gauge powder coated steel or cabinet grade birch and come with side guides. Weight capacities range from 100 to 300 lbs. depending on the model.

Corner Dumbwaiters
Planning new or existing construction can become time consuming. We manufacture corner dumbwaiters that are designed to be fitted in corners. Our corner dumbwaiter is often used when other spaces cannot be utilized. Although these units come with our fire rated doors standard, cabinet faces of your choice can be placed on the front walls to finish the project.
